All Enduro 2022 models are fitted with high-end Michelin Enduro tires. To cope with the added superior traction, the suspension settings on the fork and shock absorber have been revised, improving the riding sensations. The new Braktec hydraulic systems offer superior stopping power and perfect clutch modulation in all conditions. Underscoring the improvements made, our Enduros sport a tough new gray colorway, with electric yellow accents.
MOTOR
The TE 150i has inherited the same fuel injection technology as the larger 250i and 300i TEs. This adds to the practicality of 4-stroke engines by eliminating the need to pre-mix the fuel or adjust the carburation based on altitude. The engine also features a specific axle layout, aiming to take advantage of the engine's rotating masses for agile handling. This, among other improvements, makes it a light and compact engine that provides usable specific power for enduro practice while maintaining the low maintenance cost of a 2-stroke engine.
CYLINDER AND PISTON
The TE 150i equips a cylinder with a diameter of 58 mm and an innovative design of the exhaust valve. This allows the spontaneous 150 cc engine to deliver controllable power throughout the entire rev range. The piston is designed to perfectly match the performance of the combustion chamber, offering the highest level of 2-stroke performance. In addition, the cylinder incorporates injectors mounted on the intake, which deliver the mixture from top to bottom in the transfer port, guaranteeing excellent fuel atomization. This ensures more efficient combustion, reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
CRANKSHAFT CRANKCASE
Engineered for minimal weight, the TE150i's engine casings are thin walled. To centralize the masses, the shafts are precisely internally arranged to take advantage of the rotating masses close to the ideal center of gravity, while the watertightness of the reed box, equipped with optimized carbon fiber petals, has been improved.
ESCAPE
Tailored specifically to each model using an innovative 3D design process, the TE 150i exhaust offers advanced geometry and high performance. This allows for improved ground clearance, reducing the chance of impacts to the running exhaust. The silencer also features an aluminum bracket and an advanced internal structure, achieving excellent noise and weight reduction.
CHASSIS
The chrome-molybdenum steel chassis is carefully manufactured from laser-cut, robot-welded, and hydroformed tubes, ensuring the highest level of precision and quality. Its specific geometry includes torsional and longitudinal flex characteristics to offer unbeatable driving sensations, as well as exceptional energy absorption and straight-line stability. The cylinder head anchors are forged aluminum, improving behavior and comfort. The premium blue powder-coated chassis features protectors as standard, providing additional durability.
SUBCHASSIS OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND CARBON FIBER
The carbon fiber composite subframe is unique to Husqvarna Motorcycles and demonstrates its advanced manufacturing technology and innovative capabilities. Made of 70% polyamide and 30% carbon fiber, the 2-piece rear subframe weighs just over 1 kg. With the help of computational dynamics, it has been possible to design a specific stiffness for this robust and lightweight subframe, offering outstanding ride behavior and comfort.
TANK AND OIL PUMP
An electronic oil pump takes care of the vital 2-stroke oil supply to the engine. It is located just below the oil tank and supplies it through the throttle body, which means that, at this time, the oil mixes only with the air. The pump is controlled by EMS, providing the optimal amount of oil based on engine speed and load. The oil reservoir is connected to a fill line that runs through the top tube of the chassis to a conveniently located plug for easy refilling. The tank capacity is 0.7 l and is connected to a level sensor that lights up when it needs to be refilled.
INTEGRATED REFRIGERATION SYSTEM AND RADIATORS
The radiators have been carefully manufactured from high-strength aluminum using a CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) process to channel air more efficiently. The cooling system is intelligently integrated into the chassis itself, eliminating the need for additional sleeves. The wide central tube that runs inside the chassis reduces the pressure in this area, allowing a more constant flow of the coolant. In addition, the radiators are mounted close to the center of gravity to achieve a more agile behavior. Optionally, it is possible to mount a radiator fan available in the Husqvarna accessories catalog.
FRONT FORK WP XPLOR
The WP XPLOR 48 front fork has been developed specifically for enduro practice. Its open cartridge design equips a spring on each bar and with separate damping functions. The compression on the left bottle and the extension on the right. Adjustment is made using accessible 30-click dials on top of each fork leg. The standard spring preload knob allows for easier adjustment without tools. The fork intermediate valve piston provides more consistent damping, while its adjustment allows the fork to operate higher in its travel for exceptional ride feel and endurance.
REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WP XACT
The WP XACT damper offers advanced damping characteristics to the entire range. The compact and lightweight shock absorber offers an internal pressure balance for more consistent cushioning and greater comfort. Using the same progressive link system as the Husqvarna Motocross range, the rear axle is now lower, achieving better control in extreme enduro conditions. This fully adjustable component offers 300mm rear wheel travel, as well as unmatched traction, feel and energy absorption.
WHEELS AND TIRES
Sturdy black DID alloy wheels mate with machined hubs using new lightweight spokes with silver anodized aluminum nipples. The wheels are fitted with new Dunlop Geomax AT81 tires that offer superior grip on a wide variety of terrain.
STEERING PLATE MACHINED BY CNC
CNC machined, black anodized headrests with a 22mm feed provide excellent quality and appearance across the full range of Husqvarna enduro models. These steering decks have been manufactured with the most advanced technical procedures and materials to offer the highest quality and reliability. The handlebar comes standard with a bi-directional adjustment function that allows ergonomics to be adapted to the rider's needs.
BRAKES
The new BRAKTEC braking system guarantees top quality, offering the highest level of braking performance and a responsive and modulated feel, specifically configured for enduro riding. GSK wavy profile discs (260mm front and 220mm rear) complete the high-quality brake equipment for total confidence.
BODYWORK
The TE 150i features bodywork that clearly showcases Husqvarna Motorcycles' modern approach to offroad bikes, while striking dark blue and electric yellow graphics stylishly adorn the Swedish-inspired design. Ergonomics has been specially studied to offer greater comfort and control. After intense testing, the narrow contact areas facilitate the different changes in riding position and allow the rider to follow the movements of the bike fluently. The flat profile of the seat, together with the texture of the seat cover offer superior control and comfort in any condition.
MAP CHANGE SWITCH
Engine characteristics can be adapted thanks to the standard MAP CHANGE SWITCH, which modifies power delivery according to the preferences of the pilot, the conditions and the type of terrain. It has two settings that can be changed on the fly: Map 1 that delivers full power as standard, and Map 2 for smoother power and back-ignition for less traction terrain.
ELECTRIC START AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
All TE models are equipped with an electric starter as standard. This system uses a 1 kg lithium ion battery that is lighter than a conventional type. With several years of experience in developing and refining the electric starter, the reliability of Husqvarna enduro models in this regard is second to none, guaranteeing quick and trouble-free start-up in any condition. In addition, the electrical installation concentrates all the necessary components in a common area under the seat to facilitate accessibility.
