Small in displacement but big in capacity, the TC 250 2023 receives multiple technical updates led by the incorporation of electronic injection and electric start technologies. These improvements are instantly noticeable as at the push of a button the engine is easily started and once on the track the TC 250 offers an enhanced experience for all riders. Other changes include a new cylinder with a truly innovative electronic exhaust valve system and a lighter crankshaft to improve throttle response and reduce vibration. The TC 250 continues to benefit from class-leading components like WP Suspension, ProTaper handlebars and a polyamide-reinforced subframe, as well as receiving all-new bodywork and a striking new look to remain at the forefront of the very competitive category of 250 cc.

MOTOR
The TC 250's new engine sets the benchmark in terms of power in the highly competitive 250CC class and weighs just 17.9kg. The lightweight engine features the latest innovations to produce more torque, while retaining its high-revving 2-stroke character. These revisions ensure that beginners and seasoned pros alike can ride faster around the track, while a greater centralization of rotating masses within the engine significantly benefits the overall handling of the TC 250.

CYLINDER
The new cylinder has a diameter of 54 mm and, due to the introduction of electronic fuel injection on the TC 250, the exhaust valve is replaced by an innovative electronic exhaust control system. Using a servo motor, the side and main exhaust ducts open simultaneously for maximum power delivery.

CRANKSHAFT
The redesigned crankshaft is 300g lighter to improve throttle response and minimize vibration. This component is also positioned so that its rolling masses have a minimal effect on the handling of the motorcycle.

SUMP
High-pressure die-casting production processes allow crankcases to be made with thinner wall thickness to keep overall weight to a minimum and allow internal shafts to be perfectly positioned for better mass centering. This clever design aids the TC 250's overall balance and agility, while redesigned, symmetrical motor mounts further improve flex characteristics.

GEARBOX
The 6-speed gearbox is exclusively manufactured by PANKL Racing Systems and guarantees the highest level of durability and reliability. For 2023, a redesigned selector drum and shift fork improve the internal workings of the overall system, ensuring much smoother and more precise shifting. Revised gear lever toe design prevents dirt build-up.

CLUTCH
The DDS (diaphragm spring steel) clutch mounted on the TC 250 features a unique design in which a single diaphragm spring steel pressure plate is used instead of traditional coil springs. Housed within a machined steel bell housing, the overall design of the clutch is highly durable and contributes to the compact design of the engine.

CHROME MOLYBDENUM CHASSIS
The proven chrome-molybdenum steel chassis has been further refined in this 2023 version. A new shock absorber mounting, which is no longer anchored to the main tube, significantly improves the anti-squat effect of the chassis. With optimized wall thickness in high stress areas to improve reliability, the chassis continues to offer advanced geometry and flex characteristics aimed at providing unprecedented ride feel, high energy absorption and exceptional straight-line stability. . The chassis is finished in a premium metallic blue powder coat with redesigned stock skid plates that offer superior protection, durability and grip in all conditions. In addition, the addition of forged fixings on the lower frame rails allows easy installation of the engine protection plate, available as a technical accessory.

SUBFRAME
Made from 60% polyamide and 40% aluminium, the new 2023 two-piece rear subframe ensures exceptional strength and durability, with a total weight of just 1.8kg. The lower subframe rails and frame mounts are made from cast aluminum to significantly improve reliability. The upper section of the subframe is made from injection molded polyamide to allow specific flex characteristics and ensure a lightweight construction.

SHANK
Matching the new chassis design and suspension setup, the machined triple clamps provide meticulously calculated geometry to increase stability. The new handlebar clamp, which offers two fixing options: with rubber damping to reduce vibrations or fixed to improve the feel of the front end, allows you to customize the flex of the handlebar. The upper clamp is stiffer to ensure smoother fork action, playing a vital role in perfect front wheel alignment for superior handling.

WP XACT FRONT SUSPENSION
The 48mm split-type air fork now offers greater bottom-out resistance thanks to a new hydrostop system, which applies progressive damping force over the last 40mm of travel for even greater comfort. WP forks are designed with an adjustable, potted air spring and pressurized oil chamber for smooth action and consistent damping. Parallel oil and air passages reduce pressure spikes and in combination with the mid-valve damping system, the fork provides a precise feel for the rider. Adjustments are made easy via the unique air preload valve, as well as easily accessible click-adjustment knobs for compression and rebound. To improve durability, new fork protection rings keep out dirt. In addition, the air pump needed to adjust the air pressure in the fork is supplied as standard with the bike.

WP XACT REAR SUSPENSION
The new WP XACT shock is 100g lighter and 15mm shorter than its predecessor, but total travel remains unchanged at 300mm. Inside the shock absorber is a main piston optimized using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) process to improve initial comfort, providing strong grip in all conditions. Different sized holes in the washers allow the washers to open more easily, reducing overall stress on the oil flow. With low-friction SKF joints and a revised linkage system, greater consistency of damping, comfort and traction is ensured, while both high and low speed rebound and compression are now manually adjustable.

SWINGARM
The new hollow swingarm is made from a single piece of aluminum using an improved die-casting process for optimal stiffness and a 190g weight reduction over previous versions. To optimize and match the flex characteristics of the new chassis, a new 22mm rear axle is fitted. Additionally, the chain guard and chain slider have been completely redesigned to improve durability and are less prone to snagging on foreign objects.

FUNCTIONAL BODYWORK
Its clean Swedish-inspired design and ergonomics have been specifically studied to allow the rider to perform at their best for longer. After countless hours of testing, the contact points and surfaces of the riding triangle have been repositioned for 2023 to improve comfort on the bike. A new, flatter seat offers complete freedom of movement, with a grippy cover that ensures riders stay firmly in place when accelerating hard.

AIR FILTER HOUSING
Designed with precisely positioned air intake ducts to prevent air drag and distortion, the air box ensures full airflow with maximum filter protection. It is very easy to access the TWIN AIR air filter without tools, just removing the left side cover for easy maintenance.

HYDRAULIC CLUTCH
The highest level of quality is guaranteed with class-leading Brembo calipers, made from a single piece of aluminum for the highest strength at the lowest possible weight. Coupled with a 260mm front and 220mm rear disc for better debris removal, superior stopping power and stopping confidence are guaranteed in all conditions.

SELF-CLEANING FOOTPEGS
The new design of the cast footpegs designed using computational fluid dynamics, offers a 26.8% larger contact area that guarantees better control of the bike and, at the same time, is less likely to get caught in deep ruts, jumping with the motorcycle horizontal or with the delimiting fences of the circuit. This has been achieved thanks to a new design of the bindings that are narrower in their layout in the frame, which also helps to reduce the overall weight.

PRO TAPER HANDLEBAR
Developed between Husqvarna Motorcycles and leading handlebar manufacturer ProTaper, its unique bend offers superior comfort, class-leading strength and fatigue resistance at the lowest possible weight.

ODI FISTS
ODI lock-on grips feature a new integrated throttle grip mechanism and glue-free mounting system. The throttle assembly offers easy tolerance adjustment with the option to install alternate cams for custom throttle response.

ELECTRONIC INTECTION
The implementation of electronic fuel injection in the TC 250 brings many advantages. The control unit constantly monitors the engine's operating status and ensures that the perfect air/fuel ratio is delivered at all times through the advanced 39mm Keihin throttle body. Electronic fuel injection also includes two different engine maps, which can be easily selected via the handlebar-mounted switch for a personalized riding experience. In addition, a redesigned reed valve system improves intake duct sealing and prevents excess fuel from pooling and creating too rich an engine run on extreme uphill or downhill stretches.

START BUTTON
To ensure a quick start in all conditions, the TC 250 now has a very practical starter motor. The reliable system completely eliminates the need for a kick starter, making use of space in the redesigned engine for the new electronic fuel injection system and electronic exhaust valve system. With the 12.8V 2Ah lithium-ion battery located under the seat and close to the center of gravity, the TC 250's handling is unbeatable. The motor is easily started and stopped via the same handlebar-mounted switch for greater ease of use.

MAP CHANGE SWITCH
The addition of Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) to the TC 250 allows for the introduction of two completely new engine maps to suit riders of all levels. Map 1 is the standard option providing linear and predictable power, while Map 2 is more aggressive, with immediate throttle response and more precise and explosive power delivery. With the push of a button on the handlebar-mounted map change switch, riders can toggle between the two options and select their chosen map.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The new Engine Management System (EMS) has been designed to be smaller and lighter, while also being faster at processing data. It incorporates a new Roll Over Sensor (ROS) that cuts the ignition and shuts down the engine for safety in the event of a serious fall, adding an extra level of safety to Husqvarna Motorcycles' new generation of motocross models.

HOUR METER
A new hour meter comes with an integrated fuel level indicator, visible on the FI status LED, which tells the rider when the fuel level is getting low.

START AND STOP SWITCH
The new combined start/stop switch on the right hand grip allows for easy and intuitive starting. In addition to simplifying the start and stop of the engine, the elimination of the classic stop button on the handlebar reduces the risk of possible damage or activation in the event of a fall.

WHEELS AND TIRES
Equipped with machined hubs, strong spokes and black anodized D.I.D rims, the TC 250's rims are fitted with DUNLOP GEOMAX MX33 motocross tyres, featuring a proven block-within-a-block design for more progressive cornering and grip. superior. To improve agility on the track and stability in ruts, the TC 250 is equipped with a 110/90-19 rear tire, while the 80/100-21 front tire ensures optimal behavior on various riding surfaces.

EXHAUST SYSTEM
The TC 250 exhaust manifold has been designed using innovative 3D modeling processes. The result is a perfect shape intended to provide optimum performance characteristics, while being very compact, ensuring sufficient turning angle in tight and rutted corners.

COOLING SYSTEM
Made from high-strength aluminium, the radiators have been designed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to channel air in the most efficient way. A large center tube channels coolant through the chassis to reduce pressure at this point in the system for a more consistent flow, while a new internal thermostat further improves reliability.

FUEL TANK
A new 7.2-litre fuel tank is seamlessly integrated into the revised bodywork. Thanks to the new design and position of the fuel pump, the tank is rushed further to increase autonomy and operating time. To improve safety, the external fuel line is specifically routed to be less exposed and less susceptible to damage.
