The power of the 74 hp, 692.7 cc single-cylinder engine is delivered through a super smooth ride-by-wire throttle system, which ensures a crisp response and a very precise and linear power delivery. And with its state-of-the-art ABS system and Brembo brakes, you will always have full control. • FRAME
• Flex, rigidity, fun. The three most important qualities when it comes to our lightweight multitubular frames. Designed to offer high-precision behavior and stability, the right amount of flex ensures exciting riding on the ES 700 handlebars at all times. Made of high-quality chrome-molybdenum steel to be ultra-resistant, its precisely calculated torsional stiffness and longitudinal flex make riders of all levels have the necessary confidence to push harder and go further. They are also robotically welded to ensure maximum precision and quality, always. Oh! And they weigh only 8.4 kg.
• POLYAMIDE REAR SUBFRAME
• We want everyone to get the most out of it at all times, which is why the self-supporting subframe of the GASGAS ES 700 houses a 13.5-liter fuel tank. Molded from a single piece of high-strength polyamide and weighing only 5.2 kilograms, it is super resistant and located as low as possible to offer the best performance. Want to add specific luggage supports or passenger handles? No problem, we've thought of everything!
• SWINGARM
• No welds, just a super-resistant and super-attractive cast aluminum swingarm, like on all our bikes! Made from a single piece of aluminum and weighing only 3.9 kilograms, the GASGAS ES 700 swingarm offers the perfect degree of flex to help improve both behavior and power delivery management. A WP shock absorber connects perfectly to it to ensure progressive damping at the rear.
• WP FORK
• We know how important it is to have good suspension, and that's why you're going to love the WP XPLOR fork mounted on the ES 700. It's the best on the market. It is also incredibly easy to adjust, by hand, using small dials on the top of each fork leg: compression on the left, rebound on the right.
• WP SHOCK ABSORBER
• At the rear, the WP XPLOR shock absorber is capable of absorbing the most difficult terrains. With separate adjustment of high and low-speed compression, as well as extension damping, the three settings make it very easy and fun to set up the rear suspension. Based on this, we have used the geometry developed for our range of off-road models to connect the shock absorber to a linkage system and achieve super smooth behavior, even on the most difficult terrains.
• TRIPLE CLAMPS
• There is a lot to talk about these triple clamps. In addition to the attractive black anodized finish, they play a fundamental role in obtaining the best behavior of the ES 700. Yes, their main function is to hold the fork in place, but they are designed in such a way that the clamping areas evenly distribute pressure on the fork legs to improve the feel of the front suspension. The forks really flex under strong impacts, and the machined triple clamps are designed to allow the front suspension to flex and do its job. And to keep handlebar vibrations to an absolute minimum, we have used elastic-mounted handlebar clamps to provide a little more comfort.

COMPONENTS

• RIMS
• We don't want the ES 700 to have any limitations when it comes to off-road riding, which is why it is equipped with a set of super-resistant rims. Mounted with lightweight hubs, combined with tried and tested D.I.D rims using high-quality spokes, the rims are solid, functional, and lightweight.
• TIRES
• Thoroughly tested on a variety of terrains, the Continental TKC 80 tires are the perfect choice for the ES 700. Not only do they guarantee exceptional grip on and off the road, but they are also incredibly durable, allowing you to cover a long distance before it's time to replace them. It has a 90/90-21 front tire and a 140/80-18 rear tire.
• AIR FILTER BOX
• Only two things will enter the air filter box of our ES 700: fresh air and your hands when you need to change the filter. Easily accessible under the seat, the air filter box is designed to provide the perfect airflow to the engine while ensuring maximum protection against the elements.
• BRAKES
• It's great to create a fast bike, but we had to make sure the ES 700 could also stop just as quickly! That's why we equipped the bike with the latest Bosch ABS braking technology. We use high-performance Brembo brakes, as they are the best on the market, with a two-piston floating caliper at the front biting a 300 mm wave profile floating disc. For the rear brake, we opted for a single-piston caliper and a 240 mm wave profile floating disc for controlled and precise braking in all conditions.

ENGINE

POWER

We love our fully equipped 692.7 cc engine. Fully equipped with everything needed to ensure impressive high-displacement performance and long maintenance intervals. With 55 kW (74 hp) at 8000 rpm and 73.5 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm, there is plenty of power for serious road and off-road riding. Weighing 43.4 kg, including the starter motor, throttle body, clutch, and coolant ducts, weight is not a problem when it comes to our single-cylinder powerhouse with a single overhead camshaft!

EFFICIENCY

Reliability is very important to us, which is why our engines incorporate an active crankcase evacuation system with forced engine lubrication, which in turn reduces oil friction and pump losses. The main advantages are long maintenance intervals of 10,000 km and extremely low fuel consumption to reduce operating costs. And who doesn't want that!?

CYLINDER HEAD

Intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust... Isn't that what they say happens inside a four-stroke cylinder? To make all this happen, and to ensure that tons of usable power are also generated, the state-of-the-art four-valve cylinder head mounted on the ES 700 features two spark plugs to ensure smooth power delivery. The engine's single overhead camshaft acts directly on the 42 mm intake valves through lifters, while the 34 mm exhaust valves are actuated by a rocker arm, providing more precise synchronization at higher speeds.

CRANKSHAFT, CONNECTING ROD, AND PISTON

The parts that work in the heart of the engine and ensure reliability and performance. And, most importantly, those long maintenance intervals. The crankshaft has an 80 mm stroke and acts on a cylindrical roller bearing to ensure long maintenance intervals. And to maintain smoothness, there is a second balance shaft that reduces inertia, reducing engine vibrations. Finally, to maintain reliability, even at the limit of 8000 rpm, the 700 cc engine features a combination of high strength and wear resistance with a plain bearing connecting rod, a 105 mm silicon-aluminum alloy piston, and a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coated piston pin.

EXHAUST

Our stainless steel exhaust system, characterized by its low noise, low emissions, and maximum power, allows our ES 700 to breathe freely. Perfectly integrated into the overall design of the bike, the exhaust system also complies with EURO 5 regulations.

SLIPPER CLUTCH

Raise your hand if you want to enter and exit corners faster! Well, then it was a good idea that we equipped the SM 700 with a PASC Adler clutch. The slipper clutch maximizes rear wheel grip when accelerating hard out of corners and also prevents instability when braking hard and downshifting, ensuring that the bike is perfectly balanced when entering corners. Its unique design also reduces unwanted vibrations and helps with clutch lever feel. We also have the new Braktec hydraulic clutch lever. Developed to ensure more positive Quickshifter operation, shifting gears and sliding is much easier in 2024.
