All Enduro 2023 models are fitted with high-end Michelin Enduro tires. To cope with the added superior traction, the suspension settings on the fork and shock absorber have been revised, improving the riding sensations. The new Braktec hydraulic systems offer superior stopping power and perfect clutch modulation in all conditions. Underscoring the improvements made, our Enduros sport a tough new gray colorway, with electric yellow accents.
MOTOR
The FE 250's engine is designed to be powerful, light and compact. With all the major components and a carefully positioned axle arrangement to improve mass centering, it maintains its well-known outstanding performance and performance characteristics. Thanks to innovative design and manufacturing processes, the engine weighs just 27.6 kg and offers a smooth but full power delivery, making the FE 250 an accessible bike for both professionals and amateurs.
CYLINDER HEAD
The cylinder head features advanced technology aimed at reducing weight and drag: from the low friction surface on which the two camshafts rotate, to the four lightweight titanium valves (32.5mm intake, 26 exhaust, 5mm) powered by DLC coated (diamond like carbon) pushers. This allows the engine to be easily turned over while maintaining smooth and efficient power delivery throughout the entire rev range.
CYLINDER AND PISTON
The cylinder is derived from the successful FC 250 motocross and has the same 78mm bore. It also houses a bridge box piston, meticulously made of high-strength aluminum. The compression ratio of 13.8: 1, combined with a state-of-the-art cylinder and head gasket, provides exceptional performance and reliability.
ESCAPE
The exhaust system has been expertly designed to deliver class leading performance with the least possible weight. The collector is designed and manufactured in two pieces, to achieve an assembly as compact as possible. The connection location allows it to be removed without removing the rear shock absorber. Another innovation is that it allows for a shorter and more compact muffler without increasing noise levels. This is made of lightweight aluminum and finished with an attractive black exterior treatment that enhances its high quality.
CHASSIS
The chrome-molybdenum steel chassis is carefully manufactured from laser-cut, robot-welded, and hydroformed tubes, ensuring the highest level of precision and quality. Its specific geometry includes torsional and longitudinal flex characteristics to offer unbeatable driving sensations, as well as exceptional energy absorption and straight-line stability. The cylinder head anchors are forged aluminum, improving behavior and comfort. The premium blue powder-coated chassis features protectors as standard, providing additional durability.
SUBCHASSIS IN COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND CARBON FIBER
The carbon fiber composite subframe is unique to Husqvarna Motorcycles and demonstrates its advanced manufacturing technology and innovative capabilities. Made of 70% polyamide and 30% carbon fiber, the 2-piece rear subframe weighs just over 1 kg. With the help of computational dynamics, it has been possible to design a specific stiffness for this robust and lightweight subframe, offering outstanding ride behavior and comfort.
INTEGRATED REFRIGERATION SYSTEM AND RADIATORS
The radiators have been carefully manufactured from high-strength aluminum using a CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) process to channel air more efficiently. The cooling system is intelligently integrated into the chassis itself, eliminating the need for additional sleeves. The wide central tube that runs inside the chassis reduces the pressure in this area, allowing a more constant flow of the coolant. In addition, the radiators are mounted close to the center of gravity to achieve a more agile behavior. It incorporates a standard radiator fan to keep the engine temperature low in all conditions.
ADDRESS PLATES
Black anodized machined headplates offer excellent quality as standard across Husqvarna's range of enduro models. They feature a carefully calculated 22mm offset and are designed to provide the perfect harmony between chassis dynamics and fork adjustments. Expertly manufactured with superior techniques and materials, they provide the highest levels of quality and reliability. The handlebar allows Two mounting positions are standard, making it easy to adapt ergonomics to the rider's needs.
FRONT FORK WP XPLOR
The WP XPLOR 48 front fork has been developed specifically for enduro practice. Its open cartridge design equips a spring on each bar and with separate damping functions. The compression on the left bottle and the extension on the right. Adjustment is made using accessible 30-click dials on top of each fork leg. The standard spring preload knob allows for easier adjustment without tools. The fork intermediate valve piston provides more consistent damping, while its adjustment allows the fork to operate higher in its travel for exceptional ride feel and endurance.
REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WP XACT
The WP XACT damper offers advanced damping characteristics to the entire range. The compact and lightweight shock absorber offers an internal pressure balance for more consistent cushioning and greater comfort. Using the same progressive link system as the Husqvarna Motocross range, the rear axle is now lower, achieving better control in extreme enduro conditions. This fully adjustable component offers 300mm rear wheel travel, as well as unmatched traction, feel and energy absorption.
BRAKES
The new BRAKTEC braking system guarantees top quality, offering the highest level of braking performance and a responsive and modulated feel, specifically configured for enduro riding. GSK wavy profile discs (260mm front and 220mm rear) complete the high-quality brake equipment for total confidence.
CLUTCH
The new high-quality BRAKTEC clutch system guarantees uniform wear, reliable and almost maintenance-free operation, as well as perfect modulation in all conditions. This means that the play is constantly compensated so that the resistance point and the operation of the clutch are not affected by temperature or the passage of time.
BODYWORK
The FE 250 features bodywork that clearly showcases Husqvarna Motorcycles' modern approach to offroad bikes, while striking dark blue and electric yellow graphics stylishly adorn the Swedish-inspired design. Ergonomics has been specially studied to offer greater comfort and control. After intense testing, the narrow contact areas facilitate the different changes in riding position and allow the rider to follow the movements of the bike fluently. The flat profile of the seat, together with the texture of the seat cover offer superior control and comfort in any condition.
ENGINE POWER CURVE SELECTOR AND TRACTION CONTROL
Optimized for easier use, the map change switch allows you to choose between two injection maps and also activate the traction control system. The TC (Traction Control) function improves control on slippery terrain. Traction Control can also be disabled using the map change switch. This system works by analyzing the level of opening of the gas fist by the pilot and the rate of increase in RPM. If the RPM increases too quickly, the EMS registers a loss of grip and reduces the amount of power to the rear wheel to ensure maximum traction.
THROTTLE BODY
The FE 250 incorporates a 42mm Keihin injection body optimized for better throttle response. The injector is positioned to ensure the most efficient flow of fuel to the combustion chamber, while the cable is mounted directly without mechanical connections. With this, a more spontaneous and immediate touch is achieved.
ELECTRIC START AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
The FE 250 is equipped with an electric starter as standard. This system uses a 1 kg lithium ion battery that is lighter than a conventional type. With several years of experience in developing and refining the electric starter, the reliability of Husqvarna enduro models in this regard is second to none, guaranteeing quick and trouble-free start-up in any condition. In addition, the electrical installation concentrates all the necessary components in a common area under the seat to facilitate accessibility.
AIRBOX
The FE 250 air filter box has carefully studied ducts to prevent air deformation and ensure maximum flow and filter protection. The air filter is very easy to access and no tools are needed: just remove the left side cover. The design of the Twin Air filter and its support incorporates a simple fail-safe system for safe use and easy maintenance.
