The 85cc displacement covers the gap between junior categories and professional motocross, allowing emerging riders to climb one step further into the big leagues. CHASSIS
Manufactured to offer the most precise touch to young riders, the chrome molybdenum steel chassis has been manufactured with hydroformed tubes joined by advanced robotic welding.
FRONT SUSPENSION WP XACT
Like the larger-displacement MX models, the 43mm WP XACT fork is split type, with an air spring encapsulated in the left cylinder and a reliable oil damping system in the right. These components offer excellent damping performance with 280mm of wheel travel.
REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WP PDS
Behind, the TC 85 equips a WP PDS damper. PDS stands for Progressive Damping System and allows stable rear axle behavior on small irregularities, while being able to absorb the biggest impacts without problems.
SUBCHASSIS
Made of lightweight aluminum, the rear subframe offers a shorter, more compact profile. This not only contributes to low overall weight, but also improves mass centering.
AIR FILTER HOUSING
The TWIN AIR air filter is very easy to access without tools, just removing the left side cover for easy maintenance. The airbox design allows for optimal air flow and maximum filter protection.
REFRIGERATION
The TC 85 radiators are designed using a computational fluid dynamics process to ensure the ideal passage of air through the cooling fins for optimum engine temperature and best performance.
SWINGARM
The swingarm is made from a single piece of aluminum using a gravity casting system. The result is an exceptional resistance of the same keeping the weight to a minimum. The chain adjustment marks on the swingarm are clearly visible from above for easier and more precise adjustment of the chain.
EXHAUST
The exhaust system of the TC 85 is perfectly adapted to the power characteristics of the engine and contributes to the excellent performance and behavior in all kinds of situations. In addition, the short, lightweight silencer improves mass centering while keeping noise levels to a minimum.
ENGINE
Using the most advanced 2-stroke technology, the TC 85's engine offers unrivaled performance in the competitive 85cc class. With spontaneous, but controllable power delivery, the engine offers performance and behavior across the entire rev range.
CYLINDER
The cylinder is designed in conjunction with an innovative exhaust valve system, which controls both the valve itself and the secondary exhaust port, achieving impressive power, torque and control values. Thanks to this, the TC 85 offers excellent performance at medium speed, thus reducing the need to use the clutch in sandy or muddy conditions.
CRANKSHAFT CRANKCASE
Manufactured using a high pressure casting process, the crankcases have been designed with a minimum wall thickness, while preserving their strength and durability. This allows for a more compact design, placing the axles as close to the center of gravity as possible for greater maneuverability.
CLUTCH
The TC 85 equips a diaphragm spring clutch. This design is lightweight and compact and also offers increased durability. The clutch is activated by a FORMULA hydraulic system, which means that free play is compensated at all times, always maintaining the same touch despite the passage of time and whatever the conditions of use.
ODI LOCK-ON GRIPS
The TC 85 is fitted with high-quality ODI lock-on grips as standard. The system includes a vulcanized throttle grip, while the left lock-on type does not require glue or wire seal for its correct grip on the handlebar.
WHEEL
The black EXCEL rims and machined hubs are equipped with MAXXIS tires, capable of offering exceptional performance on a wide variety of terrain types.
BODYWORK
The TC 85 incorporates bodywork to scale the precise needs of an 85cc pilot. Contact points and overall feel offer exceptional ergonomics while instilling confidence while providing great freedom of movement.
BRAKES
The new Formula brake calipers, together with Wave discs of 220 mm at the front and 210 mm at the back, provide a better feeling of frconsistent brake pad wear and tear to ensure safe braking in all riding conditions. Additionally, a new clutch and brake assembly reduces wear and tear for maximum reliability and durability.
