A helmet that inherits the aggressive design that has always changed the VFX series but at the same time incorporates new achievements and advances that mark a before and after in the Off Road helmet sector.

SECURITY

AIM + multifiber shell

The helmet structure of the Shoei VFX-WR helmet has been manufactured applying the exclusive Shoei AIM + technology, multiple by various glass fibers, organic fibers and high-performance fibers that give the helmet a very light weight and optimum rigidity. This lighter helmet structure helps the driver keep his problems driving off road in conditions that require a lot of physical effort.

Shock absorption EPS system

In addition to maintaining the classic EPS construction with dual-density materials and internal raceways for maximum internal cooling performance of the helmet, the new VFX-WR incorporates a liner mechanism to reduce rotational acceleration of the M.E.D.S.

Movement power distribution system M.E.D.S

In Off Road driving we see many falls and accidents, for this reason the helmet's performance in shock absorption is one of the most important factors. The VFX-WR's shock absorbing EPS liner provides optimum shock absorption performance with different types of hardness for each layer.

Shoei has developed a new shock absorption coating mechanism for the new VFX-WR. A more advanced version of classic double-layer coatings. While the EPS main layer absorbs the impact of the exterior as usual, the part inserted into the EPS liner is responsible for reducing the rotational acceleration energy to the head by oscillating the inserted part of the EPS linings in the event of an accident.

Surprisingly, this value has been reduced by 15% compared to the VFX-W (value obtained in internal tests by Shoei).

Double D security lock

Easy to drive, it handles a perfect fit at all times for the cyclist.

E.Q.R.S. security system

The VFX-WR is equipped with the E.Q.R.S. This system allows the personal physician to easily access the lateral padding of the injured pilot's helmet. Once the side padding has been removed, it is possible to safely remove the helmet from the pilot's head without having to force the neck area, thus avoiding possible injury.

VISOR

The new Shoei V-470 visor adapts perfectly to a more aggressive shape of the shell. As many competition riders regularly use the top position for the visor, this position is incorporated as a standard position. This ensures sufficient upward visibility and adequate protection at high speed.

The tilt angle of the visor can be easily adjusted to suit the rider's needs depending on driving conditions. The serrated shape on the inner face of the central part of the visor mates with the shape of the visor screw fixing nut to prevent unexpected movement of the visor under Off Road driving conditions.

The visor fixing screw is installed from the external area of the shell. This prevents the nut from falling inside the helmet shell, thus improving maintenance efficiency.

The visor screw has adopted a smoked color and can be easily removed.

A matte black anti-reflective adhesive is included for the inside face of the visor.

COMFORT

Shell size

The VFX-WR has been manufactured in four shell and EPS sizes depending on the size of each product. This allows riders to have better functionality and a perfect fit in every helmet size.

Interior padding

3D padded interior padding firmly supports the rider's head even under serious Off Road driving conditions for maximum comfort and optimum performance at the same time. High resistance fabrics and special fibers in the sweatiest areas such as the forehead and cheeks with a high performance in terms of moisture absorption and quick drying. In addition, soft fabrics have been used in the lower cheek areas reducing the sticky sensation of sweat after several hours of driving off road.

As the cover of the neck closure straps is always in contact with the pilot's skin, micro-perforated fabrics have been incorporated for maximum ventilation of the fabric, thus avoiding the sensation of moisture caused by sweat in this area.

Covers nose

The nose cover with a new design, is completely removable to avoid incompatibilities with parts that are included with some models of Off Road glasses.

VENTILATION

Good ventilation is essential for Off Road driving conditions that require great physical efforts. The VFX-WR has a front air inlet and two additional outlets compared to the VFX-W.

Air inlets

Air inlets at the top of the eyes efficiently conduct air to the inside of the shell. In addition, the shape of the shell in the front area provides a greater amount of air to the upper air intake.

All the entrances are protected with metal mesh to protect the ducts from dirt and mud. The air is conducted through the EPS ducts achieving real ventilation inside the helmet.

Air vents

Air vents expel heat from inside the helmet. In addition to the V-shaped upper air vents at the top of the rear of the shell, the VFX-WR has a larger air vent in the nape area.

This ventilation operation prevents heat from remaining inside the helmet, maintaining good cooling and comfort for the rider when performing high performance Off Road driving.

As with the air inlets, all the outlets except for the neck, are protected with a small metal mesh.

Morrera

The Shoei VFX-WR helmet is equipped with a larger morrera to improve air intake performance. Thanks to the new morrera, pilots breathe easier while driving off road. In terms of design, its shape fits perfectly with the rubber edge, increasing the feeling of unity with the shell and giving the VFX-WR a very aggressive touch.

Inside the morrera, a mesh filter is housed to prevent dirt and dust. The aluminum grid will prevent small elements or stones from entering the interior of the morrera. Of course, the morrera is completely removable with a single screw to facilitate cleaning and maintenance.

AERODYNAMIC - VISION AREA

Shell structure is totally new. A radical and sporty design with integrated spoilers for aerodynamics and optimized performance.

The edges of the lower part of the viewing area have been redesigned according to the shape of the new morrera and nose cover so that they are fully integrated as if they were in one piece.
