The X Series has been SHOEI's flagship in the highest competition categories for more than 15 years. The X-Spirit 3 is our new creation of the X series.

The X-Spirit 3 was born to win the highest category races, created from our knowledge in Moto GP competition assistance. In addition to maintaining a high level of safety, aerodynamics have been further improved, achieving high helmet stability even at speeds of over 300 km/h. A great novelty is the new interior padding system, achieving high performance under a sporty driving position, together with the new ventilation system that controls sweat and improves breathing in harsh driving situations.

SHOEI's new competition helmet has been redesigned from the ground up, hitting the circuits with completely new sports specifications for the shell, visor, interior padding and aerodynamic elements.

SECURITY

AIM+ multifibre shell

The shell of the Shoei X-Spirit 3 helmet integrates AIM+ technology that offers high rigidity and light weight. The structure of the shell is made up of various layers of fiberglass, organic fibers and high-performance fibers with the ability to distribute impact energy with optimal rigidity.

EPS shock absorption system

We use a double density EPS for shock absorption. When an impact occurs, it is progressively and effectively absorbed in balance with the stiffness of the shell. The EPS incorporates a series of channels to allow air to circulate without restriction, further enhancing the ventilation characteristics of the X-Spirit 3. In addition to improving shock absorption and ventilation, precise placement of the EPS results in a helmet design more compact and lighter.

EQRS security system

The X-Spirit 3, as was the case with its predecessor, incorporates the exclusive SHOEI EQRS system. This system allows medical personnel to easily remove the pads from the injured pilot. Once the side padding has been removed, it is possible to remove the helmet safely from the rider's head without having to force the neck area, thus avoiding possible injuries.

Manufactured in 4 different shell sizes for a perfect fit and compact dimensions in each helmet size.

Interior padding

A comfortable fit is essential for a good driving experience. The X-Spirit 3 is equipped with fully removable, washable and replaceable inner padding made of very soft fabrics with great moisture absorption and quick drying thanks to 3D Max-Dry System technology.

On the inner side padding, a firm fit with the cheeks is ensured thanks to its 3D construction and the multiple layers of polyurethane of different hardness depending on the area of ​​contact with the rider's face.

nose cover

Also included is a removable nose cover that can be inserted into the top edge of the chin guard to help reduce visor fogging by diverting hot air to the underside of the helmet.

VENTILATION

Achieving a correct distribution of ventilation systems is the result of many tests and trials in our wind tunnel in order to obtain the best performance in terms of aerodynamics and ventilation. With an improved balance of air absorption and expulsion, a high-quality ventilation system is obtained that cools all parts of the head evenly, achieving rapid and effective air renewal.

air inlets

Two air intakes in the front area and two additional intakes at the top will ensure stable air intake, especially in the sporty driving position. The air is absorbed by these four intake holes and is directed directly into the helmet through the EPS channels, obtaining highly effective ventilation.

Air vents

On the back there are six air outlets; two lateral, two central and two under the spoiler. These outlets are responsible for effectively expelling hot air from inside the helmet through absorption, taking advantage of the slipstream effect generated at the back.

We paid a lot of attention to the shape of the actuation buttons and the control mechanisms of all the ventilation parts so that they can be easily operated even when wearing thick gloves.

AERODYNAMICS

When the rider and the bike cut through the air at high speed, the helmet must also cut through this “wall” of air. To counteract this phenomenon, well-crafted aerodynamics in a motorcycle helmet becomes a fundamental factor.

The aerodynamics of a helmet directly affect the load on the rider's neck, especially when riding a motorcycle at high speed. For this reason SHOEI has greatly improved this point, thanks to numerous tests and trials in our wind tunnel.
