AIM multifibre shell

The outer shell has been manufactured applying the exclusive Shoei AIM technology which provides great rigidity and elasticity together with a very light weight thanks to the use of different glass fibers and organic fibers with a capacity to distribute the energy of impacts with a optimal stiffness. Safety is guaranteed by complying with the strict standards of each country.

EPS shock absorption system

The manufacturing of the EPS has been carried out with independent parts for the central, lateral and chin area. All of them made with materials of different densities for a more efficient and progressive absorption of impacts.

The EPS incorporates a series of channels to allow air to circulate without restrictions inside the helmet.

Micrometric security closure

A micrometric safety closure makes it very easy to put on and take off the helmet. The locking mechanism is made from 100% stainless steel instead of plastic to ensure safety and meet Shoei standards.

360 locking system
The new NEOTEC 2 incorporates the excellent "360º Pivot Locking System" security closure with completely metallic components that guarantee a firm and secure closure.

Screen System
The new Shoei CNS-3 visor has been developed exclusively for the new NEOTEC 2. Its most important feature is the way in which the upper edge areas on both sides of the visor are curved towards the edge of the contour to prevent water from entering. drip around screen and chin guard. Molded using advanced injection processes, the CNS-3 screen offers a clearer view thanks to an optical design with a different thickness for each area of ​​the screen.

Sun VISOR

The new NEOTEC 2 inherits the QSV-1 solar visor introduced with the NEOTEC, which complies with EN1836, the European standard for sunglasses, offering high optical characteristics and low distortion. The QSV-1 sun visor has shaped edges with the pilot's safety in mind in the event of an accident, it is completely removable and offers 99% protection against UV rays.

It should be noted that safety in the event of an impact will not be affected thanks to an increase in the shell on its external face which, thanks to careful design, means that a large helmet cannot be seen.

The new NEOTEC 2 has the excellent closing mechanism that the NEOTEC already included, both the area of ​​the variable axis of the chin guard to guarantee an optimal seal between the screen and the contour rubber, as well as the easy-to-operate chin guard release button. even with very thick gloves.

In addition, the new NEOTEC 2 includes a double locking system, explicitly developed to prevent the chin guard from falling unexpectedly when worn fully open. With the chin guard fully open, the locking system applies strong enough tension to hold it in its highest position for easy adjustment, donning, or doffing. On the other hand, if we press the chin guard back again from its highest position, a greater force will be applied that will block it, thus preventing it from falling even with strong shakes and thus complying with the double P/J homologation that allows driving with the chin guard. fully open.

Interior padding

The new Shoei Neotec 2 helmet comes equipped as standard with interior padding for the ears, specially designed for noise reduction. These paddings can be removed to carry out the installation of a motorcycle intercom.

VENTILATION

It has been shown that heat or humidity inside the helmet affects the rider's concentration, for this reason a lot of attention has been paid in the development of a good air renewal system in the new NEOTEC 2. Although the design of the shell still retains some NEOTEC details, some ventilation mechanisms with advanced lines mark a before and after with the new NEOTEC 2.

air inlets

Air inlets at the top of the eyes efficiently direct air to the inside of the shell. In addition, the shape of the shell in the front area provides a greater amount of air to the upper air intake.

All inlets are protected with metal mesh to protect the ducts from dirt and mud. The air is conducted through the EPS ducts achieving real ventilation inside the helmet.

Air vents

The hot air inside the helmet is expelled through the three rear outlets, preventing the heat from remaining inside the helmet. The shutter on the mechanism has been removed to reduce weight.

insinority

The new NEOTEC 2 side padding is equipped with a noise reducer in the lower area. Once the micrometric safety closure is closed, the padding will also be closed and will be pressed against the chin to avoid possible turbulence caused by the wind in the lower part of the helmet, providing great comfort and soundproofing.

AERODYNAMICS

The new NEOTEC 2 has been designed to be used with different types of motorcycles, which means that the riding position can also vary, from a more upright riding position on Touring, Trail or Cruiser type motorcycles to a slightly forward leaning position. on Sport Touring motorcycles.

For this reason, a slight curvature in the rear air outlet has been adopted for a relaxed driving position and an aerodynamic shape as a spoiler in the rear part of the shell with a sporty driving position in mind.

integrated communication system

Motorcycle intercoms have become an increasingly popular accessory both for chatting with the passenger and with other motorcycles or listening to music, receiving calls or receiving directions from a GPS navigation system. Especially users using flip-up helmets frequently have an intercom installed compared to users using other types of helmets.

Based on the design of the new NEOTEC 2, SENA has been in charge of developing the integrated communication system for the new Shoei flip-up helmet; the Sena SRL intercom.
