MIPS: Multi-directional impact protection system
MIPS adds more protection against rotational movement. MIPS technology is a safety revolution that allows the helmet to slide relative to the head, adding more protection against rotational movement of the brain caused by angled bumps. Because our priority is to keep you safe and protected in any circumstance.
360degrees adjustment system
A homogeneous system works better than two independent parts. Hence our decision to combine the Mips low friction layer and our helmet fit system. The result is a seamless and lighter look inside the helmet, thus allowing a great fit and comfort for longer rides.
Avid Progresive EPS
To develop helmets that perform against all types of impacts, details are key. The high-density EPS ensures that large impacts are absorbed effectively. Low-density EPS, however, provides superior performance against less severe impacts. Bollé helmets with AVID coating technology use a combination of different EPS densities and / or optimization of the ventilation channels to virtually decrease the density at the top. The result is a lighter and better ventilated helmet with progressive shock absorption that absorbs a wider range of impacts compared to a standard EPS liner with a uniform thickness.
