GEOMETRY
Wherever you plan to go or wherever you take your inner compass, the chrome molybdenum steel trellis frame is designed to cover long distances, with a high load capacity and offers comfort from dawn to dusk. By using the engine as the load-bearing element, the chassis can be light and compact. Designed to offer a precise response with agility and lightness in the tightest curves, stability and comfort in long distances and great offroad capacity on the roads less traveled. Though compact and lightweight, its chassis is as tough as any challenge you throw at it, hauling luggage, riding alone or with a partner over any type of terrain, from city streets to the most remote trail. The geometry of the Norden 901 has been developed to create a high-end travel bike for all types of journeys of discovery. The height of the seat is within reach of all adventurers thanks to its sloped rear shock absorber. Ergonomics put you close to the front wheel for better feel and grip on all surfaces.
SUSPENSIONS
Control and comfort are high on your list of must-haves for the Norden 901. With 220mm of travel, the 43mm WP APEX inverted front fork ensures flawless performance and comfort in any environment, whether you're looking for stiffness on the asphalt as softening the impacts that you find on the roads. You can quickly and easily vary the riding characteristics to suit your own preferences and different conditions, thanks to the ability to adjust the fork's compression and rebound damping. In addition, the WP APEX rear shock offers a generous 215mm of travel, and is adjustable for rebound damping and spring preload to suit the terrain being driven by the wheels and the load being carried. Adjusting settings is quick and easy, so when conditions change, you can adjust the suspensions to suit them. With the comfort and control that suspensions give you, there are fewer limits on how far you want your rides to take you.
MOTOR
Every twist of the ride-by-wire throttle provides just the right amount of power you need to conquer new horizons. A pair of balance shafts integrated into the 889cc liquid-cooled, dual overhead cam parallel twin engine increases comfort and reduces vibrations, increasing riding pleasure. The engine is very powerful, with 77 kW (105 PS) of power at 8,000 rpm and 100 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. These figures, combined with its finesse and handling, make this engine capable of offering everything you demand of it, wherever you want to go. Long maintenance intervals of 15,000 km and low fuel consumption make the Norden 901 engine even more suitable for the tasks it is put to.
BRAKES
To deliver excellent behavior on and off the tarmac, the Norden 901 needs to be able to stop with power and control. You can be confident that the system controlled by Bosch ABS will improve fast and precise braking, no matter what surface or road conditions you encounter. Husqvarna's J.Juan signature braking system brings MotoGP™-derived technology to the Norden 901. Four-piston radially-mounted front calipers act on twin Ø 320mm floating brake discs for exceptional feel and response. on the handle The rear brake is made up of a Ø 260 mm disc and a two-piston floating caliper. The rear caliper pistons feature insulation plates to maintain thermal stability, preventing the brake from overheating when riding long downhill sections of the trail. Experienced riders can disable the Bosch ABS system on the rear wheel if they wish.
CLUTCH
You'll quickly realize the benefits of PASC (Assisted Slip Clutch), which maximizes rear wheel grip when accelerating hard and prevents unwanted wheel movement when downshifting sharply or braking hard into a corner. . It will also be easier for you to handle because when you accelerate, the effort of your hand on the clutch lever when changing gears will be reduced. Less fatigue means more time to enjoy riding.
